Considering the success of the first Apple over-ear headphones, especially the Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro, expectations were high and they quickly became the easily recognizable wireless earbuds that exist today.

In fact, the Apple AirPods Max is more average than most people expect; For those who are already committed to the Apple ecosystem, though, with exceptional audio quality and bright living features.
With high levels of clarity, the AirPods Max reveals elements of your favorite songs you’ve never seen before – the hallmark of a pair of headphones with truly amazing clear sound.

This design, despite the divisions, is yet another achievement for Apple. With large, flat earrings made of stainless steel, the AirPods Max looks like an unmistakable ‘apple’ with a focus on simplicity and functionality.
They feel more premium than the Sony WH-1000XM4, which is mostly made of plastic, but the stainless-steel construction means that the AirPods Max is a bit heavier. Apple has included a mesh headband designed to reduce the pressure on your head while using it, but there is no escape from their density; If you are particularly sensitive to pressure on the head, the AirPods Max may not be the right headphone for you.
That being said, in our tests we found that they are easy enough, and we appreciate the use of physical controls more than the swipe controls that seem to be preferred by most wireless headphones these days. That’s the case with AirPods Max and Apple products in general: they work. Pairing is incredibly easy, we have not experienced any troublesome connection breaks, and Apple has avoided technology like swipe control that it considers is not enough for its products to cope with the competition.
With 3.5mm audio harborage; if you want to listen to music with a wired connection, or connect to an AirPods Max amp or DAC, you’ll need to get a 3.5mm audio harborage appendage from USB-C. It’s a bit of a stretch when you consider the price – and if Apple wants to vend these as a brace of decoration headphones, it’s unfortunate not to be able to use them with an out-of-the-box amp.
