The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 is the latest release from Nvidia. It’s not only a significant improvement over the company’s old generation VGA Card, but with the rest of the Nvidia 3000 series, but also making 4K Graphic games more accessible
Giving 50-80% best and fast performance than the RTX 2080 and 20-30% higher quality performance and improvements than the RTX 2080 Ti, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 is probably the biggest generation jump we’ve ever seen on a VGA.
Price and availability
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 will be you can buy on September 17th, starting at $ 699 (around 9 649, AU $ 950). However, as with any major graphics card launch, there are dozens of aftermarket graphics cards from MSI, Asus, Zotac and more.

Through some clever optimization, Nvidia was able to double the size of the CUDA cores in each streaming multiprocessor (SM), making it possible for both databases on each SM to handle the role of Floating Point 32 (FP32) – a major improvement over Turing. From Nvidia’s (advanced) marketing, we already expected the RTX 3080 to be a faster graphics card, but calling it “fast” is a bit of an understatement. From the moment we open the box, it stays in our personal machine, everything from Final Fantasy XIV to control is activated, coming out of our personal machine to connect to our test bench for real measurement.
Before the 3080, we had the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 , and the difference was fast apparent before we started measuring performance in a quantitative way.
For example, one of the games we play the most is Final
Fantasy XIV – that’s a problem – and there were times when the RTX 2080 Ti 4K dropped below 60 fps, especially in the latest expansion of the game. That does not happen with the RTX 3080. In fact, the basic game runs from 75-100 fps in 4K with high or ultra graphics settings, where the RTX 2080 Ti typically cools around 60 fps – a huge leap in performance at half price.
No matter what game we play, this story is repeated over and over again. Is Max Exodus optimized with Ray Tracing and DLSS? 60 fps is locked in Smooth 4K. Control with innumerable ray tracking effects? Silk is soft. Even the Final Fantasy XV with all the weird alternative graphic effects is beautiful at 4K stable 60 fps. Here is the accessible 4K60 game – although we use the term “accessible” very loosely here.
You need to keep in mind that the heat in our benchmarks is not very refreshing and they are recorded on an outdoor test bench. In our enclosed tower, which serves as a consumer for two 240 mm, the temperature rose to around 60 C – cooler than the mid-80 ° C temperature we normally see with the RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition.
